SKATE

Welcome to Skaters Keep Achieving Through Education!

S.K.A.T.E. is a state-wide academic achievement program that recognizes the scholastic accomplishments of youth student athletes who play hockey.  S.K.A.T.E. encourages, rewards, and supports youth hockey players who commit themselves to their schoolwork while enjoying the sport of hockey.

As competitors, young players set goals for themselves on the ice and in the classroom.  Like the cheers they hear for goals, assists and good hustle, they respond positively to recognition and reward for their performances in the classroom.

This program recognizes skaters at the 10U, Squirt, 12U, Peewee and Bantam levels who achieve a 3.0 G.P.A. (grade point average) or higher during the academic period which coincides with the hockey season.  There are also options for those in special needs or other learning programs to qualify for S.K.A.T.E. as well.

Fill out the S.K.A.T.E. form and return with a copy of your students latest report card by MONDAY JANUARY 31, 2024.  Place in the box outside of the arena managers door or email to angelahoff2@gmail.com

At the end of each season the Silver Bay Blue Line Club holds a S.K.A.T.E. party to celebrate those who met the qualifications.  It is a great event where kids are recognized for their accomplishments and prizes are awarded.  There are a lot of sponsors and volunteers who are involved in keeping such an important initiative strong for our program and we couldn’t do it without their support.
